Split Billing - Vizada04

Split Billing - Vizada04 (formerly Telenor Split Billing) provides a clear overview of the use of on-board ship-to-shore satellite-communication and is an important aid to monitoring, managing and controlling costs

Split Billing gives a clear overview of satellite communication costs for ships at sea by providing an itemized summary of charges for user categories or cost centers which you define. This service is available for users of Inmarsat-B, M, Fleet and mini-M terminals in the following Ocean Regions: POR, IOR, AOR-E and AOR-W.

Easy to use
By inserting a three-digit calling code in the normal dialling sequence, all calls placed from a terminal are registered to the user, user-group or billing category specified by the code. You, as the owner of the terminal, have 99 options (from 001 to 099) to define and assign the codes in ways that fit your company's own billing needs. Here are some examples on how to assign the codes:
  • Identify each on-board user
  • Differentiate between ship-related and private calls
  • Distinguish between calls made to the ship owner, to the ship management company, or the ship chartered
  • Specify calls according to on-board crew-list
Flexibility in the details
The calling code structure can be as simple or sophisticated, as you want. You may also vary the structure, as necessary, to be ship-specific and/or terminal specific.

The information you receive about each call remains the same - date, time, duration, destination, cost - but the way the calls are sorted and specified is entirely up to you. The terminal bill is generated automatically and the costs are allocated by code number regardless of what the code represent. If a call from a terminal is made without the calling code, the call is listed individually on the bill (as is the current practice) without further categorization.

As always, you can select which format you will receive your satcom invoices in: on paper (by post) or electronically (on diskette or via e-mail).
