Internet and E-mail Access

With Internet Access you can access the World Wide Web, send and receive e-mail, and transfer files electronically — all onboard and entirely free of subscription charges. Users of Inmarsat terminals* no longer need to subscribe to a third party for Internet and e-mail services. Registration is easy and, best of all, Internet and e-mail services are tailor-made for Inmarsat customers.

Easy-to-use Internet access onboard
In order to use the service onboard, a dial-up networking profile must be configured for dedicated Short Code 28 for Inmarsat B, M, mini-M, GAN/M4 & Fleet. This dial-up networking profile is to be selected when using different Internet applications (e.g. e-mail, web etc). After that, just use the correct Short Code and you're on the Internet. There are no extra billing charges; you'll be charged the normal rate for the Inmarsat service in use.

Check the website www.satellite-email.com for detailed configuration instructions (under User Manuals) or contact our customer support centers to receive instructions by e-mail, fax or post.

This service is offered with no restrictions on access and with no time-consuming log-on procedure (users are not required to submit a user-ID or password). The modem pool has been optimized to handle the various features of Inmarsat B, M, mini-M, GAN/M4, Regional BGAN, Fleet and Swift. Access is uniquely available to Inmarsat users, and will not be shared with other customers in order to guarantee sufficient capacity.
