In order to use a Mobile Earth Station (MES) it must first be activated for service. Marlink can assist you in this process.
By entrusting Marlink with the activation of services for your MES, you will obtain your new IMN numbers without delay. We offer quick initial activation if your MES is to be activated in a Marlink-accredited country. The entire process can be completed within a few days — often within one day.
Our Principal functions as a PSA Entity
- Facilitate the transmission of service activation information of valid applications into the Electronic Service Activation System (ESAS)
- Ensure that such information is kept up-to-date (by means of periodic follow-up)
- Respond directly to customer inquiries on, in particular, service activation and Inmarsat systems and services in general
- Assist in the prevention and resolution of fraud and fraudulent activities within the Inmarsat system
- Provide necessary information relating to distress and safety
- Provide necessary information to flag state administrations (if required by flag state administration)
- Ensure that MES owner/operators sign the company's Terms and Conditions for the Utilization of the Inmarsat Space Segment
