The Inmarsat mini-M system uses spot-beam technology to cover the major ocean regions*.  With T&T's 3064A you get a cost-effective satellite mobile communications system.




The 3064A can be placed on board a wide variety of vessels such as:

  • Fishing vessels (providing communication in waters outside the ranges of VHF and cellular telephone systems as well as secure communications anywhere)
  • Deep-sea ships (which need cost-effective services - such as crew calling - in addition to their Inmarsat-B terminal installations)
  • Coastal vessels (requiring more reliable communications what is offered via VHF or cellular systems)
  • Ocean-going yachts (with communications needs spread throughout the seas of the world)
Basic communications services
The 3064A is a compact, robust system designed and built to withstand extreme maritime conditions. It consists of a maritime antenna that remains locked on the satellite in spite of the vessel's motion and a conveniently small electronics unit to be placed below deck. The mini-M service provides the following services/features:

- 2.4 kbps Group 3 (G3) telefax
- 2.4 kbps data communication (ASD)
- Encryption (optional)
